This is a random collection of pictures that relate to geometry in some way or other, which I combine with quotes from architects, artists, writers and scientists. I initially started this as a test blog for the template modifications that I like to do. But then the whole thing took on a life of its own since looking at these beautiful, structured, orderly pictures gives me a lot of peace; which I hope that you, the viewer, will experience as well.
This is one of a series of skin based avatars that I made inspired by Haeckel's biological drawings from his book "Kunstformen der Natur".
The way these outfits work is that the bulk of the effect rests upon the skin to which various large attachments are added. In the case of Decapoda these are lobster-like claws, pincers and antennae since Decapoda is the name of a type of lobster. And then there is also a skirt and a type of g-string to round out the ensemble. All of these are made entirely out of Second Life prims since the making of this thing predates mesh uploads and even sculpties in Second Life.
