This ladies only, skin based outfit was designed for the 2015 version of the alpha.tribe sim which I named "Fool's Gold". Dark Gold evolved out of an avatar that I designed as a gift for visitors to wear while they were wandering around the island. The island had a historically Indo-Chinese, nautical theme in which practically everything, including plants and terrain were made out of gold and a dark charcoal grey; and both the original avatar and Dark Gold were meant to blend into this setting.

Unlike the original Fool's Gold avi's skin which is geometrically patterned, the Dark Gold skin is extremely complex and ornate and only tiny mesh garments that only cover very small areas of the skin are added to it - a jacket and a skirt that are so flimsy that there can be no alpha layers even; so the wearer has to adjust her body shape to the garments (which is actually the case with most mesh clothing). In addition to these there are long golden boots and glow cage festooned upper arm pads. And the same glow cages are also on a mask that covers both the face and the back of the head. And on top of all this there is a rock and fern landscape that is worn in lieu of hair.

The one thing that prospective buyers need to be aware of is that this is in fact a very dark skin. Over the years I have lightened the face to a certain extent but the body remains dark. So, this is an outfit that definitely needs to be worn not only with a facelight but also with body lights (which you can get as part of the group gift "Basic Beauty Package" at the inworld store and also at MP shop). So, if you do not like to use body or face lights this one will not be for you, I'm afraid.
On the OpenSim the less ornate Fool's Gold skin is available freely at "Ringtail's" on the ShapeShifter region at Osgrid. Click on the link provided at the top of the panel on the right of this post to reach the current location of the Osgrid store.
This is a random collection of pictures that relate to geometry in some way or other, which I combine with quotes from architects, artists, writers and scientists. I initially started this as a test blog for the template modifications that I like to do. But then the whole thing took on a life of its own since looking at these beautiful, structured, orderly pictures gives me a lot of peace; which I hope that you, the viewer, will experience as well.
