Damask is one of the oldest things that I made in SL. The early version looked very different to this one - starting from the skin which was considerably less detailed than what you get now. And also, of course, no mesh, not even sculpties to work with. So, I had a lot of twisted toruses as arm and leg puffs. I have kept the arms for both, but the leg pieces are long gone on the female version, as are the clunky old prim shoes that I had to contend with back then.

What the male avatar gets nowadays are split pants that are complimented by a very nice double belt, while the female avi gets an assymetric mini skirt. Both get shoes of course (very nice high heels for ladies btw), headcaps that form the basis for a big dark flower headdress. All of this gets worn on a 3 colored body suit and this, together with the torus arm puffs does make this outfit somewhat geometric also although the damask texture does of course give it a historic identity also.

The piece de resistance of this ensemble however are the skins, of which there is a lighter and a darker version. And I have to admit that I am rather proud of these. They are very subtle so they will not be really apparent at a distance, but when people zoom in on your face, which we all know that they do, they will see the detail.

This is a random collection of pictures that relate to geometry in some way or other, which I combine with quotes from architects, artists, writers and scientists. I initially started this as a test blog for the template modifications that I like to do. But then the whole thing took on a life of its own since looking at these beautiful, structured, orderly pictures gives me a lot of peace; which I hope that you, the viewer, will experience as well.
