Alpho Loves Lace

The inspiration for this is historic and especially comes from the late Gothic period in Northern Europe. It is made out of muted purple and lace, starting off with a big headdress that is a bit like flowers on long torus stalks that sprout out of a headcap.

The ladies get a fancy, bunched up "gothic" skirt while the gents get baggy pants and a folded belt. Then there are lace encrusted texture garments for both and quite a few lace attachments that round the whole thing off. While in the original version the skin for this had a furry-like texture, I was never very successful with that and later abandoned it for a desaturated pearly skin which I think works better than a furry texture, even had I managed to succeed in making a good furry skin.

This is a random collection of pictures that relate to geometry in some way or other, which I combine with quotes from architects, artists, writers and scientists. I initially started this as a test blog for the template modifications that I like to do. But then the whole thing took on a life of its own since looking at these beautiful, structured, orderly pictures gives me a lot of peace; which I hope that you, the viewer, will experience as well.
